FRONT HUG PIN -- WINDMILL - SAKOTSU
Description
This is a good rapist defense, as it begins from a typical immobilizing front bearhug attack. Tori finds his arms pinned at his sides by uke. First, he must free his arms. To do this, tori must drop to loosen uke's hold, but first, it is a good idea to perform a "loosening technique" - especially if uke is actually holding tori off the ground. This can be any number of distracting techniques - head-butt to the face, stomp to the instep, or the Love Handle Twist (highly painful). Once the loosening technique is performed, tori simply drops out of uke's grasp by bending at the knees into a deep knee-bend with feet spread wide apart, and keeping the back straight. This lowers tori's shoulders and arms and allows some freedom of movement. Once this is accomplished, tori lifts his left arm and, lifting uke's right arm just above the elbow, rotates (windmills) uke's right arm up and over, and especially in front, of tori. At the same time, tori's right arm should be brought downward and backward to come to tori's right ear. As tori's left arm completes it's rotation, tori delivers a sakotsu to uke's neck (fifth cervical vertabra). When did tori's right hand become free? It started when the loosening technique occurred. Then, when tori dropped and began rotating uke's right arm, uke's body by necessity rotated as his arm rotated in front of him, moving his left hip and arm away from tori, allowing tori complete freedom to wind up for and deliver the sakotsu.
Steps
- Uke grabs tori in front bear-hug.
- Tori employs loosening technique (instep-stomp is standard).
- Tori drops center by bending at the knees and spreading his arms wide. This should free the arms.
- Tori lifts left arm under tori's right arm (just above the elbow)
- Tori rotates left arm in a clockwise circle pushing uke's right arm along, finishing with uke's arm between them. At the same time, tori brings his right arm to his ear to prepare for the sakotsu.
- Tori delivers sakotsu to the neck as the windmill is completed.
