REAR HUG PIN -- DOUBLE WINDMILL
Description
Another good rape defense. This technique begins with tori held from behind with arms pinned. Tori must first free his arms. Start with a loosening technique. From the rear-hug position, the instep-stomp is probably best, or backward head-butt if tori is of similar height to uke. After the loosening technique, tori drops his hips by bending at the knees into a deep knee-bend with feet spread wide apart, while simultaneously spreading his arms over his head. This lowers the shoulders and arms, allowing them freedom of movement. Tori now lifts uke's right arm with his own right arm, rotating them counter-clockwise. The left arm should follow by sweeping first downward, and then, as tori steps back and left to rotate his body to a position perpendicular to uke, the left arm should take over rotating tori's right arm, while tori's right arm draws back to deliver the sakotsu. This is a dynamic, pretty move that really works, but it takes a lot of practice. The drop is critical, and the left arm must not lag too far behind the right, and tori must not step too far back with his left when escaping from the hold.
Steps
- Uke pins tori from behind.
- Tori performs loosening technique.
- Tori drops his weight by bending at the knees.
- Tori begins windmill with right arm rotating counter-clockwise, carrying uke's arm with it. Tori begins windmill with left arm rotating the same way, but coming first downward.
- Tori steps back and left to achieve a 90-degree position to uke.
- Tori continues left-arm windmill with left hand until it catches up with the first one.
- Tori continues pushing uke's right arm with his left-hand windmill, while drawing right hand back.
- Tori blocks out uke's right hand low, while delivering sakotsu to the neck (fifth cervical vertebra).
