MAT: RIGHT, LEFT -- HAMMERLOCK
Description
This technique is similar to the version of RIGHT, LEFT -- HAMMERLOCK found in the Aiki Jujitsu #2 chart. Uke begins at tori's right, and throws a right blow, which tori blocks with left shuto uke block, then a left, which tori also blocks, with right shuto uke. Tori's right hand should slide down to grab uke's left wrist. Then, tori should extend his arm forcefully over uke's left shoulder, while simultaneously pulling on uke's left wrist. Tori then traps uke's left shoulder to his body by forcing uke down with his left elbow. Tori then bends uke's left arm at the elbow and threads uke's left forearm over his own left wrist, in order to grab his own right wrist in a figure-four configuration. Now all tori has to do to apply the hammerlock is lever his right arm up and off uke's back, using his left elbow as a fulcrum point.
