SIDE HEADLOCK -- HAIR THROW
Description
This technique begins the same way as SIDE HEADLOCK -- HAIR - HAMMERLOCK. The differences are that point at which tori has uke off-balance backward, rather than applying the hammerlock and potentially changing which side of the head tori is gripping, tori simply steps back and pushes uke's head down to the mat, continuing the initial thrusting-up-and-dragging-back motion.
Steps
- uke attacks by applying a right-handed hammerlock to tori's head, bending tori over, and leaning forward slightly.
- tori secures an air passageway with his right hand, by grabbing on uke's right hand.
- tori secures a grip on uke's hair - eye sockets - nose - chin - ear - whatever is handy.
- tori steps with his right foot outside of uke's right foot.
- tori thrusts forward and up with his hips, while pulling back with his left hand, straightening uke, freeing tori's head, and forcing uke's balance backward.
- tori continues the thrusting-back motion with his left hand while stepping back. Maintaining a grip on uke's right hand will allow you to apply a technique while uke is on the ground.
