Tai Chi Grandmaster, Youbin Zhao (from Xian, China), recently visited the Pleasant Hill school. Grandmaster Zhao is a direct descendent of the founder of Yang-style Tai Chi. He was accompanied by his son, Master Zhao from Hong Kong, and his direct student, Seifu Janny Wu, and her students, George Bonilla and Valen Lee (all from Sacramento). After consulting with Professor Tim Delgman (who runs the Pleasant Hill class), Sensei Irving Lee (Zen Budokai) invited them to visit our school. (Sensei Lee also studies Tai Chi from George Bonilla and Valen Lee) Both senseis remarked that they were impressed with the similarities in movements between the styles [Yang Tai-Chi and Zen Budokai Jujitsu].
